(plus one weekend session in April, date TBD)

Class sessions for ages 5-12 consist of a lesson, time in the Zoo, an in-class animal encounter, as well as age-appropriate games, projects, and/or stories. Groups are divided into ages 5-6, 7-9, and 10-12.

Ages 13-15 will participate in a community conservation project that will serve as a bridge to the Jacksonville Zoo and Garden's Volunteer Program. Fees cover student tuition as well as a background check for one parent/guardian (required for participation). Class sessions are for students only, but parents and students may need to meet on or off Zoo grounds outside of the regular class times. The project will be presented to the public towards the end of April.

Enrollment is limited to home-schooled children ages 5-15. Children will be enrolled into the appropriate age class based on their age as of September 1, 2017. In accordance with Florida state law, children must be 5 years old on or before September 1st to enroll.

Children are not denied enrollment on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, national origin (ancestry), or disability.
