Gardens at Trout River Plaza

The new garden space features a partially-walled botanical garden plaza that will serve as a gathering and event space and offers a beautiful view of the Trout River.  Central to the plaza is a celebratory fountain with a spill bowl topped by a basking anhinga bird sculpture. The fountain is surrounded by pebble mosaic paving that features a menagerie of animals of the Trout River.  Springing from lush garden beds, thirteen Grecian-style “living” columns topped with overflowing flowering urns giving the Gardens a classical look.  A planted trellis, lush and cool with colorful and fragrant vines, along with a number of large shade trees and themed lights all create a special area that can be enjoyed for private parties after hours.

 “The Riverview Courtyard” is designed as a private area just off of the garden plaza. It is an ideal space for small private lunches and dinners. The area can be converted to a beautiful location for outdoor wedding ceremonies with a beautiful view of the Trout River as a back-drop or wonderful cocktail parties and buffet serving areas.

Adjacent to the plaza is the “Great Lawn”, an open area capable of hosting large events both open air or tented.

Kenya Boardroom

Located at the Zoo’s entrance, the Kenya Boardroom is a unique and impressive room with a wood conference table and executive chairs.  Bamboo décor, hardwood floors and a thatched ceiling complete and enhance this themed room.  Adjustable lighting is available.

Samburu Room

This indoor facility is located at the entrance of the Zoo, where tropical foliage surrounds the front window view.  The Samburu Room is perfect for private parties, business luncheons and weekly meetings.  A range of light settings is available.

Shaba Terrace

Located at the Zoo’s main entrance, Shaba Terrace offers a spectacular view of the Rift Valley Bird Aviary and lush tropical foliage that surrounds the Main Camp of the Zoo.  From the thatched roof, large open space and dual staircases to the versatile lighting, tiki torches and built-in speaker system, Shaba Terrace is perfect for any large gathering.  Private stairway and elevator entrances with private restrooms are a few features that make Shaba Terrance perfect to hold daytime or evening events.  An in-house speaker system is available at no change.  We offer seating for corporate picnics to private evening celebrations.

Range of the Jaguar

Located near the center of the park, the Range of the Jaguar offers a breathtaking backdrop for your next party.  From the replica Mayan stone temple to the enchanting three-tiered water fountain at Palm Plaza, this location offers multiple options for a unique after-hours affair.  It’s the perfect setting for outdoor events, weddings, dinner dances and cocktail parties.

Giraffe Overlook and Savanna Blooms garden

Located near the center of the park, Giraffe Overlook and botanical garden offer a stunning replica of the African Savanna.  Get up close and personal with nature's gentlest giants for private evening encounters and feedings.  This location is the perfect addition to your outdoor event, or stands alone as a stunning cocktail party.

Wildlife Carousel
Ever wanted to ride a tiger?  This amusement is the perfect addition to any event.  Your guests, both adult and child, can enjoy unlimited rides atop beautiful hand-painted renditions of your favorite Zoo animals. 

This attraction can be added on to any after-hours event for a nominal fee.
