GENERAL INFORMATION

The Zoo Horticulture staff will meet you and your gardeners at the Main Camp Entrance for a personalized walking tour beginning with an overview of the plans for the gardens, projected garden openings and an explanation of the role that gardens play here at the Zoo. Container planters will be pointed out at Main Camp.

The tour will then proceed on to the “Garden Path” with an explanation of the plantings and theme that is carried through out the Zoo and last approximately 90 minutes.

Our current tour features:

• Rivers of Color, along the Main path also called the Zoo Loop.
• Savannah Blooms, themed as a South African oasis, the Zoo’s first themed Pocket Garden
• Range of the Jaguar designed to create a new-world tropical forest
• Gardens at Trout River Plaza, an elegant garden plaza that includes gathering space

PRICING

$25.00 per person for non-members and includes park admission.
$20.00 per person for current members and includes park admission.

Billing and payment is handled by Catering & Corporate Events. Cash, Company Checks, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express credit cards are accepted.

SCHEDULING A TOUR

Group Garden Tours tours are prescheduled for Monday through Friday from 9:00am – 2:00pm.

Tours are prescheduled by calling (904) 757-4463 ext. 120. Tours require a minimum of 1 week advance notice.

EXCLUSIONS

Tours are booked with a minimum of 4 guests per tour. If your group exceeds 20, the tour can be split into separate groups for better interaction. We do encourage all participants to wear walking shoes. All paths are handicap accessible and wheelchairs or electric scooters are allowed. Rentals are available at the Guest Relations office at the main entrance to the Zoo.
